In VR prototyping, a major challenge was the disparity between the process of constructing interactions (GUI coding) and the resulting 3D spatiotemporal events. This divide, especially considering the coding skills required, poses a significant barrier for novice users. To bridge this gap, we developed Clonemator, a system influenced by programming by demonstration (PbD). It allows users to temporally record actions as clones and spatially arrange them. Clonemator facilitates the creation of programmable interactions and techniques through 3D spatial control, making it easier for novice users to engage with and solve VR tasks using intuitive interactions.
